I never imagined that one day I’d build a career that perfectly combines that deep love and passion for art with something as comforting and joyful as candles. Hi, I’m Courtney, the heart behind CSC’s Candle Bakery. What started as a simple idea has now become a dream business built on creativity, resilience, and a whole lot of sweetness. I’ve always believed candles should be more than just light — they should tell stories, spark nostalgia, and remind us of life’s sweetest moments. But CSC’s Candle Bakery isn’t just me — it’s a true husband-and-wife team. What began as a middle school crush blossomed into a 15-year marriage, and today my husband and I pour that love into every part of this business.

I’m the artist behind the candles and photography, while he’s the master of design — crafting our labels, building our website, and bringing our vision to life. Together, we’ve created the perfect duo, blending creativity with design to make every candle an experience. And now, we’re teaching our children the ways of the business, passing down this passion to the next generation. Our journey hasn’t always been easy. Both my husband and I walked through some very dark chapters, including battling drug addiction that nearly cost us everything. In 2021, we faced an overdose that became our wake-up call — a turning point that could have been the end, but instead became a new beginning. Out of that pain came purpose. Creating candles gave us a way to heal, to express ourselves, and to pour our struggles into something beautiful. This business didn’t just give us stability — it truly saved our lives.

Over time, that spark of healing transformed into something bigger: a business that now shares joy, comfort, and hope with homes across the country. CSC’s Candle Bakery is proof that beauty can rise from brokenness, and that art has the power to transform lives. Today, our candles are more than wax and fragrance. They’re a story — of love, art, family, resilience, and redemption.
